The cherry blossoms at Gion Shirakawa are just in full bloom!

Last Sunday, it rained all day, so I went to see the cherry blossoms at night, expecting few tourists and flower viewers.

Stores and restaurants in the Gion area are usually closed on Sundays, so I was able to enjoy the cherry blossoms viewing safely with very few people around.



This is the cherry blossoms along the Takase River in Kiyamachi. They are almost in full bloom here, and we can expect to see them until the middle of this week.
